Employment
Chatter Creek is a privately owned company which employs 60 staff during our skiing season. Many of our employees have been with us for a good part of our 8 years of operation. We offer our existing staff positions first for the following year.
We start accepting application on the first of June by email or mail only for the following year. We ask our applicants to respect this procedure as in the off season we employ a relatively small office staff.
For the 2009/10 season we have now completed hiring. If you submit your resume we will save it in case of late changes to our staffing.

Here is the list of positions available for the 2009-10 season for the lodge, as mentioned above our existing staff will be offered the positions first:
Guides
Guides are in charge of the ski program. The lead guides will work closely with the assistant guides and the second guides as well as the management and the cat operators to ensure that safety and quality service is maintained at all times.
Second Guide
The second guide is responsible for the care of the guests in the field and their safety at all time. The SG should assist the guide with avalanche assessment and be ready for an emergency. The SG takes care of the lunches and other duties that are related to the ski program.
Cat Driver
The cat drivers are responsible for ensuring safety while driving guests in the group cat, maintaining and cleaning the cat, assisting guides with skis, helping with firewood and shoveling as well as assisting in other areas as required.
Chef
The chef’s main responsibility is to provide three Gourmet meals everyday, along with an after skiing appetizer. The food safe plan is to be devised and the Chef is to ensure that it be followed in all food preparation and handling. The chef is responsible for inventory and for following the budget as well as all the kitchen staff training.
Baker
The baker is responsible for assisting the chef with breakfast, making fresh breads and rolls, preparing dessert, and evening snacks. The bread should be healthy and fresh.The baker will coordinate a workable menu following the chef’s budget and also provide a cost per dessert listing based on the menu. The baker, along with the chef is responsible for proper food handling and safety and following the food safe plan.
Relief Chef/Baker
The relief Chef Baker is responsible for both duties: Chef and Baker.
Kitchen Helper
The Kitchen Helper has a multi-faceted role. They are responsible for food preparation, dishes, and also guest relations and services. The kitchen helper is ultimately responsible for the dinner service.
Housekeeper
The housekeeper’s job entails a combination of duties including: clean-up and maintenance of guest rooms and bathrooms. The housekeeper will also do dishes, and assist in other areas as required
General Helper
The General Helper has a multi-faceted role. They are responsible for laundry, rental waivers, housekeeping, guest relations and services. The general helper is ultimately responsible for a multitude of different tasks that helps make the operation run better.
Housekeeper #2
Assist the bartender and housekeeper. Client care, kitchen duties and other general duties are part of the job description.
