Directions to Chatter Creek Donald Airport
From the west:
- Follow Highway #1 east. As you get close to Golden you will see a Highway sign with ‘Golden 35km’. The turn off is 9 kilometers from this sign.
- After you cross the bridge over the Columbia River you will turn left quickly….so slow down! Please note: do not turn onto Donald Cemetery Road. If you reach the trucking Weigh Scales you have gone too far.
- Turn left onto Donald Road, at .5 kilometers the road forks, take the right hand fork and continue to the first intersection.
- At the four way intersection turn left, this will be Bush Forest Service road.
- Chatter Creek is the first driveway on your right.
From Calgary and the east:
- Go through Golden (gasoline alley) and reach the last set of lights on the number #1 highway (the Subway will be on your right).
- From this point you will travel 24 kilometers to your first turnoff.
- The turnoff will be your second right after the trucking Weigh Scales.
- Turn right onto Donald Road, at .5 kilometers the road forks, take the right hand fork and continue to the first intersection.
- At the four way intersection turn left, this will be Bush Forest Service road.
- Chatter Creek is the first driveway on your right.
Traveling from Cranbrook and the South:
- Follow Highway #95 through Golden.
- Turn left onto the overpass which is posted: Revelstoke, Lake Louise, Banff.
- Turn left and east onto Highway #1 posted: Scale and Revelstoke.
- Go through Golden (gasoline alley) and reach the last set of lights on the number #1 highway (the Subway will be on your right).
